How to get the exact installed Version

OK, this is a simple question for you, but i am a newbie to SQL2000, and i need to find out which Service Pack we are currently running. Could anybody please give me a short reply :)

Password for SA is not set during installation but you can create one by going to the Security section of Enterprise manager. Hope this helps.

How to get the database location of a installed reporting service?

I have reporting service installed, but I didn't install it. I
cannot figure out where the reporting service database located. We
have two SQL servers and the databases reside on BOTH servers. Also
the resportserver.mdb and reportservertempdb.mdb files reside on both
servers (obviously) and both have fairly recent dates. It's quite
possible that someone else on my network has a Report Server running.
How can I figure out *which* database is mine'

of configuration options including the database.

OK, I've poked thru files & the registry to see if I can find ou the
path to the databses and no luck. Anyone know how to find this in
RS 2000?

i wrote my problem before also...n it was
I have installed SQL SERVER 2005 CTP,Version 9.00.1314 but the problem is...as soon as i m trying to connect..i gave the local server name as SHUCHI during the installation and now i m trying to connect to it... then it gives me error as :
cannot connect to SHUCHI
additional information: An error has occured while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005,this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.(provider:Named Pipes Provider,error:40-Could not open connection to SQL Server)(Microsoft SQL Server,Error:2)

n now i think i have another problem...this problem is still there and no one could tell me the right solution :(( ....n now when i saw the sql configuration tool i found that in the SQL SERVER 2005 NETWORK CONFIGURATION there are NO PROTOCOLS at all...in short i think they r not installed at all...i tried to install the SQL SERVER thrice but the problem is stil the same....can someone tell me...if i can just install these protocols only from somewhere>?

After that, you need to enable remote connections.

the problem is that as soon as i click on SAC...the ERROR comes and it tells me that i m not in the ADMINISTRATOR's group ...n the sad part is that I M in the administrator group...is there any way from where i can download just the SQL SERVER 2005 NETWORK CONFIGURATION...so as to get the PROTOCOLS n everythin...or if there is some other way to do it in the SAC only..but i cant click anything in there since it gives me ERROR....i thought may b the problem is with installation so i REINSTALLED it THRICE but all the times the problem still exist...
please try to think of somethin n PLEASEEE HELP ME..

What OS are you using?
How are you logged into your machine?
Can you verify that you're in the Administrator's group?
Can you verify that you logged into the machine with an account that belongs in the Administrator's group?
Did you try logging into your machine as Administrator?

i have a user name and a password to log into my machine(since its a company),
yeah...in the groups i saw my name in the ADMINISTRATOR's group(even the admin told me that me that i m there in the group),
i didnt try logging as administrator on my machine...i can try that on monday...but i dont knw if its really goin to help or not...since its not connectin with the server at all...anyways,i will try n write my reply again on monday..thnks for ur suggestions though...

How to get reports on internet?

We were using reports on our intranet environment for a while and tried to
create couple of reports on internet. We did this -
Installed a Windows 2003 Server/SQL Server 2000/Report Services, then
uploaded reports. Can we get reports on our web pages without giving an
external IP for Reporting services server?
With our current installation, we are getting a 'Page Not Found' error.
Any idea?I am pretty sure you will need an external IP in order for the "world" to see
the Reporting Server.
That being said, I am sure you have run into the login window. All external
users will need to have windows accounts because by default the
authentication method used is windows. You will need to add a custom
security extension to change this to forms authentication.

How to get Enterprise Mgr on pc?

I have installed a 64-bit SQL Server 2005 standard edition onto my database
server. I now want to install the client onto my pc.
How do I install onto client pc?

You pop in the CD or DVD that you used to install the server components and
select the "Server components, tools, Books Online, and samples"
installation.
Click through until you can select the components to install.
When you are on that window choose Workstation Components, Books Online, and
development tools checkbox.

"Error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application"
It appears that I need to install a 32bit SQL Server Client. OR is there
some workaround ou there?

executed from 32 bit environments. They will operate from a 64 bit
environment using WOW, but at a performance penalty.

The 32 bit tools are, as far as I recall, located in a folder on the 64 bit
product disk. You may have to search around a bit.

I thought that the minimum # of CALs that could be acquired when you
purchase SQL Server was 5. How did you only purchase 4?
Regarding the 4 CALs - are you the only person/entity/computer connecting to
the database server? If so, you purchased too many licenses anyway...
